North Newhall Specific Plan

The following paragraphs are added so that whomever might be interested can understand what the "Power Posse' is (was) intended to be. The idea for the Placerita Power Posse came from a meeting in March of 2007 and the follwing is the initial and remaining concept.... Nothing more, nothing less.

Placerita Canyon Power Posse aka (PCPP)

During a recent brainstorming session (Okay… so we were having coffee at the Saugus Café'), several of the PCPOA Board Members suggested that Placerita Canyon should be represented by an entry in the Newhall Fourth Of July Parade.  Given the wonderful array of vintage motor powered vehicles stabled here, we thought that we should create our own entry highlighting Placerita Canyon’s finest motorized ponies.  And what an entry that would be!

We could have Model T’s, roadsters, old trucks, Chargers, choppers, maybe an ol’ Mustang or two, a race car, tricked out golf carts, as well as what you have hidden and polished in your garage just waiting for an invite to be shown off.

If this sounds like fun to you, and you can dedicate one evening to a meeting in Mid to late June,  -- and join us for a day of fun on the Fourth—we can once again demonstrate that Placerita Canyon is a (horse)powerful force to be reckoned with.

Just a rumor, but the PCPOA Board might even throw in a backyard family style picnic following the parade………  Just a rumor!!  And all entry participants will be given custom designed Placerita Canyon Power Pose caps to wear with pride during the parade and future canyon excursions.

So….. get out your motorcycles, race cars, motorcycles, (both highway legal and otherwise), choppers, road bikes, golf carts, small dune buggies, hot rods, classic cars, not so classic cars, old beaters, custom cars (even the trailer queens), whatever you would like to show off.  This isn't a show, there are no cheap trophies, if you prefer that your car be trailered, that is cool too….. Though we’re doin' this for the fun, we will be judged by the Parade Committee, so there’s always a possibility of receiving an award.  Just Join In The Fun!!
